📋 Role Summary
As a Urologist, you will be a specialist physician responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases and disorders of the urinary tract and male reproductive system. Patients may include those with kidney-related issues, urinary infections, prostate problems, and other urological conditions.
🩺 Key Responsibilities
- Patient Diagnosis:
Examine and evaluate patients presenting with urological symptoms such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections (UTIs), prostate disorders, bladder dysfunctions, male infertility problems, etc. - Diagnostic Testing:
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as ultrasound, CT scans, lab reports, and other imaging studies as needed. - Medical & Surgical Treatment:
- Prescribe appropriate medication and nonsurgical treatments.
- Perform necessary surgical procedures related to the urinary system when indicated.
- Emergency & Post-Op Care:
Manage emergency urological cases and provide postoperative follow-up and care. - Team Collaboration:
Work as part of a healthcare team, coordinating with nurses, technicians, and other physicians.
🎓 Required Qualifications & Skills
✔ Education: MBBS with MS/MD/DNB in Urology — MCh/DNB (Urology) preferred
✔ Medical License: Valid Indian medical license (as per NMC/NMC norms)
✔ Experience: 1 – 5 years in urology practice
✔ Clinical Skills: Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and surgical abilities
✔ Communication: Good patient communication and teamwork skills are essential
